Antonio Brown Tweet Criticizes Refs for Overturning TD Catch (Pic)
Steelers receiver Antonio Brown had a pretty good Monday night, catching nine passes for 90 yards and throwing—yes, throwing—a touchdown to Lance Moore. However, Brown thought he should have had an even better night because he thought he’d scored a touchdown of his own in the 4th quarter. So after the game he called out the referees on Twitter.
The controversial play came with just under eight minutes remaining in the game. On 1st and 10 on the Houston 16, Ben Roethlisberger threw a perfect pass to Brown in the end zone, which was caught for a touchdown that would have given Pittsburgh a 31-16 lead. However, the replay official challenged the ruling on the field and said Brown’s left foot didn’t get down before he went out of bounds.
Here’s a look at the play:
It sured looks to me like Brown got his foot down on that replay. And it looked that way to Brown, too, when he took a look at it after the game. So he went on Twitter and criticized the refs:
Silly Antonio. You can’t speak your mind on Twitter without getting fined! This is the NFL. Shush your mouth.
