Broncos Cut John Boyett after He Punched a Cabbie and Taunted Police (Pic)
John Boyett isn’t exactly a household name, however, that could somewhat change after the Denver Broncos cut him from their practice squad. Sure, players get cut from the practice squad all the time, but rarely for reasons as interesting as those pertaining to John Boyett.
Boyett reportedly got drunk, head-butted and punched a cabbie in the face, then, when arrested, told the cops to call John Elway to clear everything up.
I see Mr. Boyett is a fan of my favorite line, “If you just call John Elway, he’ll clear all this up.” That line’s never worked for me, but I still keep using it in hopes that it will one day.
Sadly, this isn’t the first time Boyett’s been involved in such an incident. Earlier this year, as a Colts draft pick, he was charged with public intoxication and resisting arrest. I’m going to take a flyer and say that John Boyett may have a drinking problem.
That mug shot’s not doing him any favors, either. Looks like he’s going to shoot up a movie theater. At least he’s in Broncos colors for the mug shot.
