Alleged Diego Maradona Domestic Violence Video Hits the Web
It’s no secret that Argentine soccer legend Diego Maradona has battled major demons his whole life. However, the alleged Maradona domestic violence video that hit the web this week constitutes a new, all-time low.
The video was apparently released by Maradona’s ex-fiance, Rocio Oliva. The two broke up back in June, and Oliva went to the media claiming she was the victim of domestic violence and that she had proof. However, they got back together after that, so the domestic violence accusations died down.
Now they’ve broken up again, and the media war is back on. So it seems Oliva has decided to share the evidence of Maradona’s abuse.
In the video you are about to watch, an inhibited individual that looks like Maradona gets up from a couch, stumbles over to the person holding the camera, and says “Keep looking! Keep looking at your phone!” Then he hits the woman, who says, “Stop, crazy, why can’t I look at my phone?” and then, “Stop! Stop! Stop hitting, Diego!”
Take a look:
Obviously, the video quality is so poor that it’s hard to tell for sure that this is Diego Maradona. But it certainly seems like him.
Is it surprising to see Diego Maradona accused of domestic violence? Given what we know about his temperament, no. But it’s depressing nonetheless.
