Florida State Tight End Body Slams Louisville Linebacker Who Intercepted Jameis Winston Pass (Video)

Florida State Tight End Body Slams Louisville Linebacker

The Louisville Cardinals intercepted Jameis Winston three times in less than 15 minutes last night, which is a very impressive feat. However, it’s even more impressive when you consider what happened to the first guy who intercepted him. You wouldn’t have blamed them for being a bit apprehensive about picking Winston off after linebacker James Burgess got body slammed by Florida State tight end Nick O’Leary.

With 7:40 left in the second quarter and Louisville already up 7-0, Burgess picked off a pass up the middle on 3rd and 8 intended for O’Leary. Burgess then managed to run the ball nine yards the other way before O’Leary decided he’d had enough and just picked the dude up and slammed him to the ground.

Take a look:

Despite this abuse, Louisville defended went on to pick off last year’s Heisman winner two more times. That’s impressive.

Of course, after the three interceptions put FSU in a 21-0 hole, Winston got his act together and led the Noles to a huge 42-31 comeback win.
