The World’s Fastest Golf Cart Is Faster Than Most Production Sports Cars (Video)
Do we file the world’s fastest golf cart under “motor sports” or “golf?” I think “golf” is funnier. “Golf” it is.
This racing team was able to set the record for world’s fastest golf cart with their monstrosity that went a quarter mile in 12.24 seconds, all while reaching a top speed of 118 miles per hour.
That’s really fast.
And in case you think that this record is one of those goofy records like, “Most donut holes eaten while sitting under a playground slide in Fairbanks, Alaska on June 12th,” you should know that this record is fairly sought after by racing teams. It’s like their version of the soapbox derby, only their creations probably kill people.
Here’s a video. Please note the awesomeness of the golf bags on the back, reminding people that, yes, these are golf carts:
I’ll be the first to admit that, from that angle, it’s not so impressive. But I’m sure from a first person or straight on perspective, you’d feel like you’re going to see God.
Regardless of expectations, I think we can all agree that the world’s fastest golf cart is very, very fast, and belongs in our driveways.
