This No-Look Between-the-Legs Goal from Boston’s Seth Griffith Is Pretty Okay (Video)
Boston Bruins center Seth Griffith will probably score a lot of goals in his NHL career. The 21-year-old kid had a couple of 30- and 40-goal seasons in the OHL, and last year, his first and only in the AHL, he scored 20 in just 69 games.
However many NHL goals he eventually scores, though, he will always remember his fourth. You just don’t forget no-look between-the-legs goals.
That’s the kind of goal he scored last night in Boston against the New Jersey Devils. After blocking a shot in his own defensive zone, Griffith raced down the ice, trying unsuccessfully to split Devils defenders Bryce Salvador and Marek Zidlicky.
However, Griffith had a little bit of luck on his side. And after getting tangled up with and spun around by Zidlicky, Griffith found himself with his back to Devils goalie Cory Schneider and the puck right between his legs. So he gave it a whack and sent it right under Schneider’s pad into the net.
Take a look:
Way to go, kid.
