Little Kid Gets Clotheslined During Warmup Skate at Oshawa Generals Game (Video)
It seemed like a good idea at the time. A few weeks ago the OHL’s Oshawa Generals decided to give a young fan the thrill of his life by sending him out onto the ice with the team for the pre-game skate prior to puck drop. They put him in a tiny little Oshawa Generals uniform and everything. Then they put his family in the front row so they could take lots of video.
Unfortunately, little kids are little. And when you combine that fact with a dark arena, what you have is a recipe for a little kid getting plowed over by a huge hockey player. Which, of course, is exactly what happened.
Here for your viewing pleasure (because you’re a bad person who likes seeing children get hurt) is the video. You could skip ahead to the 0:30 mark, but I recommend watching from the beginning to build the suspense.
Fortunately, the little Generals fan was able to get up and continue his skate.
Of course, the team probably should have followed the OHL’s concussion protocol in that case, because that poor little dude was rocked
