Rob Gronkowski Gave Himself a New Number at Practice Yesterday (Pic)
Rob Gronkowski normally wears the number 87. However, the Patriots have been in southern California all week preparing for their game against the Chargers on Sunday, and for some reason—perhaps to make it hard on Chargers spies—their practice jerseys haven’t had numbers. And that looked kind of weird.
Gronk took care of that, however. Tom Brady‘s favorite tight end went and found himself some trainer’s tape and gave himself a new number: #69.
Now, as the Patriots’ official Twitter feed pointed out back in October, the Pats at one point had won 69 games in a row at home when leading at halftime. But I get the feeling Rob Gronkowski wasn’t referring to an obscure statistic.
(If by some chance you don’t understand what’s so special about the number 69, I’m certainly not going to tell you. That’s what the internet is for.)

That’s basically the most Gronk thing ever.
