Leaky Roof at Barclays Center Forces Delay in Heat-Nets Game (Video)
Rain delays aren’t common at NBA games, especially when those games are being played in new, state-of-the-art facilities like the Barclays Center. But on Tuesday night, that’s exactly what fans were treated to as a game between the Brooklyn Nets and the visiting Miami Heat had to be delayed when water started leaking through the roof of the house that Jay-Z built.
The delay took place at the end of the first quarter, as staff at the Barclays Center were sent scrambling in search of larger garbage cans to contain the constant flow of water from the stadium’s roof.
