Odell Beckham is This Year’s Fantasy Football MVP
How do you determine who the real Fantasy Football MVP is? Is it the player who scored the most fantasy points over the course of the season? Is it the guy who finished the furthest ahead of all other players at his position in terms of fantasy points? Is it the player who exemplifies the best attitude on and off the field?
There are plenty of ways to figure this out (except for maybe the last one I mentioned above), but the best way to determine the Fantasy Football MVP according to most, including myself, is to find out which player appears on the most championship teams.
In that case, your Fantasy Football MVP at the moment is New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.
It’s a pretty amazing feat for the rookie wideout, especially when you consider the fact that he probably wasn’t even drafted in most fantasy football leagues, and he missed the first four games of the season due to injury.
Here’s a look at the top 13 fantasy football players according to how many championship games they will be appearing in on CBS Sports’ Fantasy Football leagues:
1. Odell Beckham, Jr. (41%)
2. LeVeon Bell (38%)
3. DeMarco Murray (33%)
4. Baltimore Ravens Def/ST (32%)
5. Andrew Luck (30%)
6. Rob Gronkowski (28%)
7. Dez Bryant (28%)
8. Antonio Brown (28%)
9. Demaryius Thomas (25%)
10. New England Patriots Def/ST (25%)
11. Marshawn Lynch (25%)
12. Greg Olsen (25%)
13. Jeremy Hill (25%)
Some of you are probably thinking to yourself, “What about the other fantasy football leagues out there? How do we know Odell Beckham’s owners have had the same success in those leagues?”
Well, if it means anything, I personally have Odell Beckham on three of my four fantasy football teams at Yahoo.com. All three are in the finals, and my other team also made the finals, where I will be playing against Beckham. That’s four Yahoo Fantasy Football finals, all with Odell Beckham Jr.
Yeah, I’d say he’s a good pick for this year’s Fantasy Football MVP.
