Cameron Wake Hits Geno Smith With a Bone-Crushing Tackle (Video)
Geno Smith played the game of his life during Rex Ryan‘s final appearance as Head Coach of the New York Jets.
The Jets’ starting quarterback threw for a career-high 358-yards and three touchdowns during his team’s 37-24 victory over the Miami Dolphins. It was an impressive showing from the second-year quarterback, but in addition to being too little, too late for the 4-12 Jets, it also came at quite the price for Smith, as he was on the receiving end of a bone-jarring tackle from the Dolphins’ Cameron Wake.
Wake needed 1.5 sacks in the game to reach 13 for the season and collect a $1-million bonus.
Dolphins DE Cameron Wake needs 1.5 sacks today to get 13 for season and earn $1 million in incentives; 3.5 sacks will mean another $1.25M.

Unfortunately for Wake, he recorded zero sacks and the Dolphins probably don’t hand out $1-million checks for hard hits in meaningless games.
