This Sign From the Canada-Russia World Jr. Hockey Gold Medal Game is Awesome (Pic)
Canada and Russia squared off in what would turn out to be one of the most exciting gold medal games in IIHF World Jr. Hockey Championship history. After jumping out to a 5-1 lead midway through the game, the Canadian team allowed the Russians to score three quick goals in a matter of three minutes, 16 seconds, at the end of the second period. That made for quite the exciting finish, as Canada had to hold off a relentless Russian attack for the entire third period before claiming their first gold medal since 2009 with a 5-4 victory.
You’d think a game as exciting as that would give us plenty of highlights to share with you, but it’s not the action on the ice that has us talking today (…okay, so maybe we’re kinda talking about the action on the ice today). Rather, we’re more interested in this awesome sign from a Canadian hockey fan at the Air Canada Centre that reminded us of what we already knew: Poutines are greater than Putin.
