Detroit Lions Troll the Cowboys With Tweet About Controversial Call

Detroit Lions troll Cowboys after Dez Bryant reversed catch

Last week the Detroit Lions were on the wrong end of a controversial call by the officials that would prove to be too costly for them to overcome during their 24-20 Wild Card loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

It should therefore come as no surprise to see the Detroit Lions troll the Cowboys on Twitter after the latter found themselves on the wrong end of the latest controversial call by officials during the NFL Playoffs.

Also adding to the irony is the fact that the call that would end up resulting in Dez Bryant’s catch being overturned (that a receiver must maintain possession throughout the process of the catch, even after going to the ground) was one that was originally made popular by Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson during opening week of 2010.

So the Lions wasted no time rubbing salt in the Cowboys’ wounds following their 26-21 Divisional Round loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday:

In case you haven’t seen it yet, here’s a look at Dez Bryant’s catch that was ruled incomplete after a video review:

And here’s Calvin Johnson’s negated touchdown from a 2010 week 1 game against the Chicago Bears:
