LeBron Alley-Oop Brick Sums Up Worst 36-Point Performance of His Career (Videos)
I know it sounds ridiculous to make fun of LeBron James for a 36 point, five rebound, five assist performance. But I’m going to do it anyway. And when you see the videos, you’ll understand why.
King James returned to the Cleveland Cavaliers lineup on Tuesday night after missing eight games with back and leg injuries. However, he couldn’t prevent the Cavs from losing their sixth game in a row (and 10th out of their last 11) and falling below .500 on the season. And that made their game against the Kobe Byrant and the Lakers in Los Angeles on Thursday that much more important. Cleveland needed to stop their slide. LeBron had to beat Kobe.
Fortunately for the Cavs, LeBron did beat Kobe. Cleveland won 109-102. However, LeBron’s performance was anything but flawless.
His defense early on was a bit lax:
And he was pretty nonchalant on the offensive side, too:
Then there was this LeBron alley-oop brick, which was something you definitely do not see everyday:
Hell, even Kobe had a good laugh at that one.
Of course, like I said, LeBron wound up scoring a game-high 36 points, so it all worked out in the end. But he might want to take a page out of Serena Williams‘s book and have an espresso before the Cavs’ game against the Clippers tonight.
