Paul George Dunks for First Time Since His Leg Broke in Half (Video)
It’s usually not a big deal when a 6’9″ professional basketball player dunks a basketball at practice. However, when that 6’9″ professional basketball player suffered a gruesome fracture just five and a half months ago, it is a big deal.
And that brings us to this Paul George dunk. As you probably remember, George’s leg basically broke in half back in August during a Team USA scrimmage ahead of the 2014 FIBA World Cup. The injury obviously required surgery, and George was ruled out for all of 2014.
However, Paul George refused to rule out returning some time this season. And so far, the Indiana Pacers star is making excellent progress in his recovery. In October he started taking jump shots again. Now he’s dunking in practice.
Take a look:
This obviously does not mean Paul George is ready to rejoin the Pacers, who are currently 10 games below .500, but only 1½ games out of a playoff spot in the pathetic Eastern Conference. However, it does mean, at the very least, that Paul should be ready to help the Pacers turn things around for the 2015-16 NBA Season.
