Zach Parise Takes Puck to Mouth, Picks Tooth Up Off Ice, Resumes Playing Hockey (Video)
Poor Zach Parise has had a pretty rough season. His team has underachieved, his dad passed away, and he’s sustained a couple of pretty nasty facial injuries.
The first facial injury was a gash from the stick of the Rangers Marc Staal back in October. The second came courtesy of a puck to the mouth last night in Edmonton.
With just over seven minutes to go in the first period of a lackluster game, one of Parise’s Minnesota Wild teammates tried to shoot the puck around the boards and out of their defensive zone. Unfortunately, Parise happened to be stationed along the boards and the puck bounced off the glass and whacked him right in the kisser, knocking out a tooth.
Take a look. Notice Parise pick up the tooth himself and hand it to the Minnesota trainer:
So that took Parise out of the game, right? He stayed in the locker room with an ice pack on his face?
Haha, right. Parise was back on the ice to start the second period. Then he took questions at his locker after the game, just like nothing happened.
You hear that, Tiger Woods?
