Richard Sherman Mocked Darrelle Revis for Touchdown (Video)
Richard Sherman has made his name by claiming his status as the best cornerback in the NFL. While some would probably stop there, letting the insult to opposing cornerbacks remain implicit, that’s not Sherman’s style, and in the middle of the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl, Richard Sherman mocked Patriots’ cornerback Darrelle Revis after Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin made it past him for a touchdown.
In typical Richard Sherman style, his call-out of Darrelle Revis is tightly controlled but unmistakably insulting, kind of like the pro football version of the old “not touching, can’t get mad” gag. All he did was look into the camera and yell “24” a few times. But 24 is Revis’ jersey number, and you know it’s going to have him (not to mention countless Patriots fans) fuming over the next few months.
In case you somehow missed it during the game, you can watch a couple Vines of when Richard Sherman mocked Darrelle Revis below. And the debate over who truly is the best cornerback in the NFL will probably continue on indefinitely.
Here’s the first Vine of the taunts:
