Super Bowl XLIX: FYI, That Jeremy Lane Injury Was Pretty Nasty (Pic + Video)
You’re probably going to want to put down the nachos before you look at this horrendous photo of the Jeremy Lane injury from Super Bowl XLIX.
Seriously, this is gross. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
Ready? Okay then, have a look:
Yep. That’s unpleasant. One second, Seattle Seahawks cornerback Jeremy Lane is recording his very first career interception in the Super Bowl against Tom Brady, in his own endzone, denying Tommy Touchdown and the New England Patriots a seven-point lead. The next second his arm is broken in half, and he’s walking off the field in one of those inflatable casts.
I’m not a doctor, but I am going to go out on a limb and say Lane’s arm is probably broken. Maybe.
But such is life in the National Football League. At least the guy went out in a blaze of disgusting glory.
On an unrelated note, I wonder if anybody from the league met him in the Seahawks locker room to debrief him about the firmness of Tom Brady’s balls?
