A Couple of Skydivers Almost Collide with Airplane. No Big Deal. (Video)
Skydivers almost collide with airplane? Yep, that’s why I don’t skydive right there.
Don’t get me wrong, I know the statistics. You’re much more likely to die in a car wreck (.011% chance) than from parachuting out of a plane (.00075% chance). But I can handle dying in a car wreck. If I die in a car wreck my family won’t be like, “Why oh why did he have to go driving in that car! Why did he have to do it!” But that’s exactly what they’ll say if I were to die after jumping out of a plane at 13,000 feet for no reason. And I just don’t need that.
But I digress. About those skydivers…yeah, it was a pretty close call. We don’t know where or when it occurred, but it must have been recently. The video was uploaded to YouTube by the skydiving instructor on February 6, 2015.
Here is his description:
“After an uneventful exit…. The pilot dove the airplane 180 degrees right at me and my tandem passenger. how we got so lucky?!?! Not sure. I have never heard of this happening. After some research and talking to friends about it I now know of two other incidents like this. One is on you tube and he did not get as lucky as we did….”
I assume the instructor had a lot of bad words to say to the pilot after he landed. I probably would have kicked him in the balls.
