This Rutgers Layup Fail Is Just So Sad (Video)
Layups are the easiest shots in basketball. In fact, they’re so easy that we use the term layup to describe other things that are really easy. Like “This election will be a layup for the incumbent,” or “How’d the interview go? It was a total layup!”
Unfortunately, in sports as in life, even the easiest tasks get screwed up sometimes. (Just ask the Phoenix Suns and Miami Heat.) And that brings us to this Rutgers layup fail from last night’s game against Purdue:
That play was so ugly, I almost don’t even want to tell you who that is. But I will. It was Scarlet Knights guard Myles Mack.
Would it surprise you to learn Rutgers has lost nine games in a row?
No? I didn’t think so.
Interestingly, Rutgers shot 42.9% from three-point range during last night’s 61-51 loss to the Boilermakers, but only 33.3% from two-point range. They might want to go back and practice the basics a little bit.
