Arizona’s Rondae Hollis-Jefferson Eats It on a Fastbreak (Video)
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson of Arizona probably has a little egg on his face after Friday night’s game against the Washington Huskies. The Wildcat found himself in the fortunate position of having a clear, and I mean CLEAR, fastbreak. But through the fault of a poorly-mopped floor, slippery shoes, inner-ear imbalance, or a vengeful God, he slipped upon takeoff, leaving the Huskies with the ball and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson with a bruised ego.
Fortunately, that’s all that was bruised. These instance of a player slipping on a hardwood court often end up worse than you would expect, but the damage done to Hollis-Jefferson was entirely psychological.
Here’s the video:
That sucks. So, rather than delight in his misfortune, let’s focus on the positive. He wasn’t hurt, he did get a steal, and Arizona killed the Huskies by 24 anyway.
Nonetheless, I’m sure Rondae Hollis-Jefferson would trade 20 points off that margin and the credit for that steal to just have this be a missed 15-footer or something.
We should be a little disappointed ourselves, because we were likely denied a pretty impressive dunk here.
