NFL Commish Roger Goodell Runs the 40 at Work for the #RunRichRun Campaign (Video)
Every year since 2005, former SportsCenter anchor and current NFL Network talking head Rich Eisen runs the 40 at the NFL Scouting Combine. In a suit. It all started with a challenge from Terrell Davis, and it has pretty much become the best thing about the combine.
This year the tradition will continue. Rich Eisen will once again run the 40 at the 2015 NFL Scouting Combine, which gets underway on Friday. However, this time he won’t be the only person doing it.
The NFL Network along with DirecTV and Under Armour are encouraging people to join the #RunRichRun campaign to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. What does the campaign involve? It involves YOU running the 40 at work and posting the video on Twitter with the hashtags #RunRichRun and #StJude.
It’s unclear how, exactly, your video will benefit St. Jude. The NFL Network says they are donating $75,000, but they made no mention of any other fundraising campaign.
Still, the #RunRichRun sounds like fun. And if you don’t do it, it means you are a worse person than NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. Because yes, Roger Goodell ran the 40 at NFL headquarters this week—presumably while taking a break from trying to figure out how to blame Deflategate on somebody other than the New England Patriots.
Take a look:
Not bad, huh? He beat Eisen’s personal best on his first try.
Can you beat Goodell?
