Dante Fowler Ran a Blistering 40 While Wearing His Lucky Gold Watch (Video)
Florida’s Dante Fowler didn’t run the fastest 40 among defensive linemen at the 2015 NFL Scouting Combine. Clemson’s Vic Beasley took that honor with a blazing 4.53.
However, Fowler’s 40 time of 4.61 seconds was still pretty damn good. And it’s even better when you realize that Fowler, at 6’2″ and 261 pounds, is an inch shorter and 15 pounds heavier than Beasley. And that he ran the 40 while wearing those Adidas cheetah cleats. And his lucky watch.
That’s right. Fowler wore a watch while he ran the 40. And it wasn’t a Fitbit or some other sporty rubber thing that keeps track of your heart rate and whatnot. Dante Fowler wore a big, fat gold watch on his left wrist.

Like a boss.
After his strong performance at the combine, Fowler could very easily find himself among the first 10 people taken on April 30. However, let’s just hope that was a Seiko on his wrist (or a Michael Kors if you want to be trendy) and not a Rolex, otherwise the NCAA might be sending some investigators on down to Gainsville to have a look around.
