Jusuf Nurkic Technical: Nuggets Rookie Gets T’d Up for Taunting Markieff Morris Like a Boss (Videos)
If you’re talking about the best rookies of the 2014-15 NBA season, the first names that pop into your head are Andrew Wiggins or Nerlens Noel. But if you’re talking about the most entertaining rookies of the 2014-15 NBA, only one name comes to mind: Jusuf Nurkic.
Don’t get me wrong, the 6’11” 20-year-old Bosnian has played fairly well for the Nuggets this year. He’s averaging 7.2 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game. Those are good numbers for an unpolished rookie center. But Nurkic’s attitude has been much bigger than his numbers.
First he mocked Marc Gasol and talked some sh*t:
Then he hit a mid range jumper over DeMarcus Cousins and taunted him all the way back down the court:
So what’s Nurkic got for us today? Only the most awesome technical foul of the season. On Wednesday night against the Suns, Nurkic got called for an offensive foul thanks to some “theatrics” by Markieff Morris. So after the play was over, he caught the ball and placed it condescendingly on Morris’s chest.
Seriously, check out this Jusuf Nurkic technical:
Where does Nurkic get all this confidence? Probably from his dad, a 7’0″, 400-pound Bosnian police officer who, legend has it, once beat up 14 people in a street fight.
