Kevin Garnett Gave Away $20K of T-Wolves Tickets for Last Night’s Game

Kevin Garnett ticket giveaway

Kevin Garnett sure seems to enjoy being back in Minnesota. After eight years away while playing for the Celtics and Nets, the big man has returned to presumably do another year or two in Minnesota before calling it quits. And while he might not be the Kevin Garnett of old, he is still plenty enthusiastic. Case in point: For Monday’s game, he bought 1,000 tickets to give away to fans. That set him back a cool $20,000.

It was said that the free tickets were a thank you to the fans for the warm welcome they gave him upon his return. Here’s a Tweet from the Target Center last night:

Sadly, the T-Wolves weren’t able to knock off the Clippers, losing 110-105, but the fans did get to see Ricky Rubio’s fourth career triple-double, which isn’t a bad way to spend a Monday evening. Especially when Kevin Garnett is picking up the check.

Garnett finished the night with 12 points, and we also learned that the T-Wolves tweet A LOT during games. Take a look.
