Mike Tyson Picks Manny Pacquiao to Beat Floyd Mayweather in May 2 Superfight (Video)
50 Cent take note: boxing legend and pop culture icon Mike Tyson picks Manny Pacquiao to win the Mayweather-Pacquiao superfight on May 2.
Of course, Tyson didn’t come out and explicitly say he thinks Pacman will win. But he implied it.
In a video published on Tyson’s YouTube channel, he points out that the only guys to beat Pacquiao in recent years—Timothy Bradley and Juan Manuel Marquez—were frenetic boxers who threw over 100 puncher per round. Tyson then goes on to reason that, since Mayweather is more of a calm, technical boxer, he will have a hard time winning rounds against a guy who is essentially a perpetual motion machine.
Implicit conclusion: if Money doesn’t alter his style and amp up his attack, he’s gonna lose.
Take a look:
I’m not a boxing expert by any means, but if you ask me Mike Tyson is talking some sense here.
It just goes to show that, when it comes to The Champ, you never know what you’re going to get. He might use his analytical mind to break down a boxing match. He might go on a profanity-laced tirade on live television. He might swoop in and come to the aid of a motorcycle crash victim. Or he might tell you a story about how he learned to have sex in prison. The man is a wild card.
