Bucks’ Khris Middleton Hits Crazy Game-Winning 3 vs. Heat (Video)
Tuesday night’s game between the Milwaukee Bucks and Miami Heat provided us with one of the NBA’s craziest endings to a game this season.
The real madness began with 10.8 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. The Heat were leading 88-86 and the two teams were getting set for a jump ball at Miami’s free-throw line. That’s when this happened:
Monday was Bucks head coach Jason Kidd‘s 42nd birthday, and Khris Middleton just gave him the perfect belated birthday gift with this desperation heave at the buzzer.
The 89-88 victory gives the Bucks a 2.5-game cushion in their battle with the Heat for sixth-place in the Eastern Conference—and a chance to play the Bulls, Raptors, or Wizards in the first round of the playoffs, rather than LeBron’s Cavs. It also keeps them 4 games clear of the ninth-place Charlotte Hornets, as Milwaukee looks to make the playoffs for just the third time in their past nine seasons.
