Guy Tries to Dunk Over Car at Mexican All-Star Game, Fails Miserably (Video)
Here’s a little pro tip for all you basketball players out there. If your name is not Blake Griffin, and if you’re playing pro ball in Mexico, dunk over car = embarrassed on the internet.
Just ask former Southern University and Delta University forward Lloyd Hickinson. Though he went undrafted in the 2013 NBA Draft, he’s apparently an All-Star south of the border in the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional. And at the big Mexican All-Star slam dunk contest recently—which seems to have been held at a high school gymnasium—Hickinson decided to try dunking over a car.
It was just like Blake Griffin at the 2011 NBA Slam Dunk Contest, only instead of succeeding and winning the admiration of all his peers, Hickinson failed miserably.
Take a look:
That was…unfortunate. But give credit to Hickinson, though. After suffering that humiliation in front of dozens and dozens of fans, he gave it one more try. And on the second attempt he made the shot and stuck the landing:
Hooray for happy endings!
