Watch Big Papi and Hanley Ramirez Dance to “That’s Amore” in the Red Sox Dugout (Video)
Hanley Ramirez made his major league debut with the Boston Red Sox back in 2005. However, he never got a hit before getting traded to the Marlins for Josh Beckett and Mike Lowell.
Now, after a two-and-a-half season stint in Los Angeles, Ramirez is back with Boston. And in Monday’s opener in Philadelphia, he finally got his first hit as a member of the Red Sox. It was a solo home run off Cole Hamels in the fifth inning. And he followed that with his second hit as a member of the Red Sox—a grand slam off Jake Diekman in the top of the ninth that made it 8-0.
So how happy was Boston’s new shortstop with his debut? Judging by this video of Big Papi and Hanley Ramirez dancing in the visitors dugout to “That’s Amore” by Dean Martin, I’m going to say very happy.
