Adrian Beltre Home Run on One Knee: Because Standing Is for Suckers (Video)
Yesterday in Oakland, A’s pitcher Evan Scribner made Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre look like a damn fool with a nasty 1-1 curveball. The thing got Beltre way out in front, which caused him to lose his balance and fall down on one knee as he whiffed.
Or at least, that’s how it seemed. In reality, Beltre was probably just hustling poor Scribner, trying to make him think he couldn’t hit that curveball down in the dirt. Because when Scribner tried that same curveball again on a 1-2 count, Beltre got down on one knee and jacked it out of the park.
The best part? One of the Oakland TV guys was talking about how Beltre will go down on one knee and “watch it leave the yard” after the first whiff, so obviously, the announcer totally jinxed poor Evan Scribner.
In any case, take a look at this impressive Adrian Beltre home run:
Man, that guy is pretty good at baseball.
