Anderson Silva Reaction to Postive Drug Test Caught on Camera for Reality TV Show (Video)
The UFC takes doping very seriously. They would never exploit a superstar who failed a drug test just to improve ratings for a reality TV show.
Oh wait, what? That’s EXACTLY what the UFC did with Anderson Silva? Well, I guess I stand corrected.
You will recall that Silva, whom many consider the greatest pound-for-pound MMA fighter of all time, tested positive for two types of anabolic steroids ahead of UFC 183. The news sent shockwaves through the UFC, stirring outrage, sadness, and disbelief among fans—sometimes all at once.
Now we’ve learned that Silva was told about the positive drug test while filming for The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 4, which is basically an MMA version of The Voice. And of course, they caught his reaction on camera, or so they suggest in the teaser for Episode 3.
Take a look:
According to the UFC description, after they milked the situation for every last ounce of reality TV drama, Silva left the show.
If you’ve got UFC Fight Pass, you can watch the entire episode online next Monday, April 20. If you don’t have UFC Fight Pass, I’m sure you can find a way to watch it, legally or illegally. Wink wink.
