Bulls-Bucks Chippy Game 2 Featured Two Skirmishes, Seven Technicals, and an Ejection (Videos)
It may not end up lasting very long, but the Bulls-Bucks first round playoff series will definitely be entertaining. The geographic proximity of the two teams means the fans are really into it. And more importantly, the players just do not seem to like each other.
Just look at Game 2 on Monday night at the United Center in Chicago. It featured two skirmishes, seven total technicals, and an ejection before the Bulls finally pulled out a nine-point victory.
The first skirmish came in the second quarter. Chicago’s Aaron Brooks tried to get in the way of Milwaukee’s John Henson to slow him down, but Henson just plowed right through Brooks, knocking him to the ground. Then Henson stood over Brooks, which did not go over well and resulted in technicals for Henson, OJ Mayo, Joakim Noah, and Jimmy Butler.
The second skirmish came in the fourth quarter. After a 13-0 run helped the Bulls transform a three-point deficit into a nine point lead with less than three minutes left in the game, Milwaukee’s Zaza Pachulia and Chicago’s bearded wonder, Nikola Mirotic, got into a shoving match while going for a lose ball. Both received technicals, and Pachulia got ejected because it was his second of the game.
Game 3 is on Thursday in Milwaukee, 8pm ET. Set your DVRs now. I suspect it will be pretty feisty.
