2015 NFL Regular Season Schedule Released: Here Are The Highlights
On Tuesday night, the NFL unveiled their 2015 regular season schedule to the public, and there are plenty of match-ups that you’ll want to circle on your calendar.
The season kicks off on Thursday, September 10, with the defending Super Bowl champion New England Patriots playing host to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The first Sunday nighter of the season will feature an NFC East battle between the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants, while the week 1 Monday night doubleheader will see the Falcons host the Eagles, followed by the Vikings at the 49ers.
DeMarco Murray won’t have to wait long to take on his former team, as the Eagles are set to host the Cowboys in week 2 of the season. And speaking of taking on former teams, Rex Ryan will make his return to New York on Thursday, November 12, when the Bills visit the Jets.
The 2015 Thanksgiving schedule will feature the traditional games in Detroit and Dallas, with the Lions hosting the Eagles, and the Cowboys welcoming the Carolina Panthers to Jerry’s World. And in the primetime slot on Thanksgiving, the Chicago Bears will travel to Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers in a game that will see the Packers retire Brett Favre’s No. 4.
Green Bay’s game on Thanksgiving evening is one of five primetime games for them, tying them for the most with the Patriots, Steelers, Ravens, Cowboys, Broncos, Colts, Giants, Eagles, and Seahawks.
