Pat McAfee Defends Tim Tebow, Burns Jay Feely on Twitter

Pat McAfee defends Tim Tebow

Poor Tim Tebow.  This entire week all he’s heard about is how crazy Chip Kelly must have been to sign the former Heisman Trophy winning quarterback.  Even former NFL kicker Jay Feely took the opportunity to take a jab at Tebow while questioning Chip’s decision-making, calling him “the single worst quarterback” in the NFL.

That’s some pretty harsh criticism for a guy who won 8 of his 12 starts as the Denver Broncos quarterback back in 2011, including a 29-23 overtime victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in the opening round of the playoffs.  But Tebow will be happy to know that there’s at least one man out there who has his back.

That man is Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee, who offered up the following in response to Feely’s comments on Tebow:

Smart move, Pat. Sticking up for Tim Tebow is a surefire way to please God and get yourself into heaven during the afterlife.
