Another Dazzling Derrick Rose Playoffs Performance (Video)

Back in February we feared Bulls guard Derrick Rose was lost for the season again with yet another major knee injury. However, for once the injury turned out to be less severe than we thought, Rose busted his butt in rehab, and now, in April, we’re talking about yet another fantastic Derrick Rose playoff performance.

What a difference a couple of months makes.

On Wednesday night the Bulls were looking to take a commanding 3-0 series lead on the Bucks in Milwaukee. The home team was sticking with them all the way, but in the end they just couldn’t stop the Bulls backcourt. Jimmy Butler had 24 points in 53 minutes, while Rose had 34 points, eight assists, and five rebounds in 48 minutes.

How good was Rose? At times it looked like he could beat the Bucks all by himself:

So, okay fine, Rose needed Joakim Noah to set a couple of perfect picks for him. But that was still a very impressive solo effort for a guy who tore his meniscus eight weeks ago.

The Bulls went on to win the game in overtime. Now both they and the Cleveland Cavaliers are up 3-0 in their first round series, and neither seem likely to become the first team in NBA history to choke up a 3-0 series lead.

I don’t know about you, but I’m starting to get pretty excited about a showdown between LeBron and D-Rose in the second round.
