Yep, That Was Paul Pierce Taunting Islanders Players at Caps-Isles Game 7 (Video)
On Sunday night, Washington Wizards resident old-timer Paul Pierced was talking trash at Drake on social media.
On Monday night, he was taunting the New York Islanders.
Basically, Paul Pierce just loves trolling Canadians.
The Washington Capitals hosted the Islanders at the Verizon Center on Monday night for Game 7 of their first round series. And because the Capitals and Wizards share an owner in former AOL executive Ted Leonsis, right there behind the glass, all decked out in Caps gear, were Wizards stars Marcin Gortat, Rasual Butler, John Wall, and of course Paul Pierce.
Of course, Gortat, Butler, and Wall just had to sit there and have fun. But The Truth? He had a couple of jobs to do.
The first was cheerleading:
The second was, naturally, taunting the Islanders:
And just like during the Wizards’ series against the Raptors, Pierce’s trash talk was effective. The Capitals beat the Islanders 2-1 on Monday, and for the first time ever the Capitals and Wizards both advanced to the second round of the playoffs in the same season.
Maybe Ted Leonsis should get Paul Pierce to go to all the Caps’ second round games, too. He obviously knows what he is doing.
