Dan Uggla Gets Doused in Chocolate Syrup, Finishes Post-Game Interview Like a Pro (Video)
On Tuesday night, the Nationals enjoyed a historic win against the Atlanta Braves. Since relocating to DC in 2005, the team had never come back from an eight-run lead, and they’d never won a game in which they’d given up 11 runs. So the fact that they won the game after trailing 9-1 after two innings was pretty crazy, and obviously everyone in the Nationals clubhouse had reason to celebrate.
However, nobody had more reason than Dan Uggla. The former Brave was booed in his first return to Turner Field as a member of the Nats on Tuesday night—a fact about which Braves legend Chipper Jones was none too happy. When he hit a three run home run in the top of the ninth to cap the epic comeback and give the Nationals a 12-11 lead, it was special.
How special? Special enough for Uggla to get doused with chocolate syrup during the post-game interview.
Take a look:
That’s pretty weird. But at least it tastes better than shaving cream.
Also, hats off to Uggla for finishing the interview. A real pro, that guy.
