Rousey-Mayweather Fight? Only If “We Ended Up Dating,” Says UFC Champ (Video)
Last summer, when somebody asked Floyd Mayweather if he could beat UFC women’s champion Ronda Rousey, he dissed her big time, saying “I don’t even know who he is.”
This week, Rousey returned the favor.
Rousey did an interview with Access Hollywood recently to talk about the upcoming Entourage movie, in which she plays herself. However, it didn’t take long for reporter Stephanie Bauer to turn the questions to Rousey’s day job as a UFC fighter and ask her what would happen if, hypothetically, she were to fight Floyd Mayweather. And Rousey responded with an epic burn.
Take a look:
In case you’ve been living under a rock for the last few months, in addition to being a world-class boxer, Floyd Mayweather is also a convicted wife-beater. He was convicted on counts of misdemeanor battery against women in 2002 and 2004, and in 2011 he pled guilty to yet another battery charge against the mother of his children that landed him a 90-day jail sentence.
So that’s what Rousey was referring to when she said the only way they’d fight is if they ended up dating. And frankly, that would be okay by me. At 5’8″, Floyd has only got about one inch on her. If he laid a hand on her, I think she’d mop the floor with him.
