Richard Sherman Fires Back at Antonio Cromartie
Last week, New York Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie had some harsh words for Richard Sherman, claiming the Seahawks corner isn’t among the best in the league because he doesn’t play both sides of the field and shadow the opposing team’s No. 1 receiver. He also said Sherman benefits from the help of two Pro Bowl safeties in Earl Thomas and Kam Chancellor.
On Tuesday, Sherman responded to Cromartie’s criticism with the following (via ESPN):
“That was unfortunate,” Sherman said Tuesday after Seattle finished an OTA session. “You would think after me helping him get a Pro Bowl bid [for the 2014 season] … We went to the Super Bowl and he wouldn’t have made it to the Pro Bowl otherwise. And now he’s talking bad.”
