Cavs Fans Chant “MVP” as LeBron Exits Game 6 (Video)
LeBron James couldn’t bring Cleveland a championship this season, but he put forth one heck of an effort while trying, averaging 35.8 points, 13.3 rebounds, and 8.8 assists during his team’s 4-2 series defeat to the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals.
It was certainly an MVP-type performance from LeBron. And the Cavs fans recognized that much, showing their appreciation for James’ efforts by sending him off with a roaring MVP chant as he congratulated Steph Curry while being subbed out of Game 6 with the outcome (a 105-97 Warriors victory) no longer in question:
Unfortunately for the fans at Quicken Loans, the voters didn’t see things the same way, as they awarded the Bill Russell Trophy for NBA Finals MVP to the Warriors’ Andre Iguodala.
