The Latest Monster Giancarlo Stanton Home Run Will Leave You Shaking Your Head (Video)

There aren’t many players in Major League Baseball who are worth the price of admission all by themselves. For that to be the case, a guy has to be absolutely electrifying.

I’d say that Mike Trout and Clayton Kershaw fit that description. So too does Bryce Harper. And every once in a while Andrelton Simmons comes up with a gem at shortstop that’s at least worth a cheap seat in the upper deck.

Then, of course, there is Giancarlo Stanton. I’d happily pay for a seat right behind home plate to watch him swing the bat four times. Nobody in baseball crushes the ball as hard as he does. In fact, I bet you could find a few grizzled baseball scouts out there willing to say they’ve never seen anybody crush the ball as hard as he does. Every time he steps to the plate, there’s a pretty good chance you’re going to see a monster Giancarlo Stanton home run.

Just look what Stanton did to a hanging Carlos Martinez slider last night:

That was Stanton’s 26th home run of the season, and also his longest by about five feet.

If you live in Miami—and it pains me to say this, because the idea of Jeffrey Loria making money is sickening—you have to go see this guy hit. Like, now.
