Brent Burns Looked Like This During Last Night’s NHL Awards (Pic + Video)

Brent Burns NHL Awards

Brent Burns may look like a homeless man from the neck up, but he looks like a dude with a lot of money from the neck down in the image above, which was taken at last night’s NHL Awards show in Las Vegas.  And apparently he’s been giving a lot of that money (along with his time and effort) to an assortment of charities, because he was in attendance at the ceremony to receive the NHL Foundation Award, which recognizes “an NHL player who applies the core values of hockey — commitment, perseverance and teamwork — to enrich the lives of people in his community.”

During his nine years as an NHL player, Burns has supported many military organizations, including Defending the Blue Line, Operation: Care and Comfort, and Folds of Honor. He’s also responsible for creating the “Burnzie’s Buzzcut” fundraiser, where he and his teammates shave their heads in order to raise money for charities like the Katie Moore Foundation and the San Francisco Zoo. So don’t let that beat-up mug fool you. Brent Burns is one kind dude.

And speaking of that beat-up mug, Burns wasted little time thanking his wife, Susan, for “putting up with the beard and no teeth” during his acceptance speech.

I think she deserves it.
