If You’re Gonna Buy NBA 2K16, You Might as Well Buy the NBA 2K16 Michael Jordan Special Edition (Pic)

NBA 2K16 Michael Jordan Special Edition

If you’re planning to buy NBA 2K16, you could wait until the game hits stores on September 29 and choose Steph Curry, Anthony Davis, or James Harden as your cover athlete. But really, why get the regular game for $59.99 when you could pre-order the NBA 2K16 Michael Jordan Special Edition for $79.99 and get the game, it’s Jordan special features, and the accompanying Jordan swag four days earlier?

What kind of Jordan special features and swag are we talking about? According to the official press release, your game will feature digital Jordan shoes, a digital Joran t-shirt, and a digital Jordan jersey for your MyPLAYER, plus 30,000 VC and MyTEAM VIP+. Then you’ll get a Jordan poster and a Jordan Fathead wall cling.

(I’m assuming you’re familiar with the game and know what all that means.)

Will you actually get to play the game as Jordan? Well, the man himself said he’s “excited” about the special edition because gamers will get to “experience and re-create some of [his] greatest moments.” And that implies that you’ll get to play as Jordan. But the official press release doesn’t say specifically that this is the case.
