Peyton Manning Reaches Out to Family of Late Fan (Video)

Peyton Manning reaches out to family of late fan

Back in March, Peyton ManningĀ fan, Logan Brown, was killed by a drunk driver who had consumed four times the legal limit. Logan was just 15 years old. Brown’s grandmother, knowing her grandson’s adoration for the superstar QB, reached out to Manning with a letter of her grandson’s death and his fondness for the quarterback.

Last week, on what would have been Logan’s 16th birthday, Peyton Manning responded to the letter with a letter of his own, and an autographed photo that read, “In memory of Logan Allen Brown.” Pretty nice gesture on the part of the Broncos QB, whom the victim saw play as an Indianapolis Colt when he was younger.

Logan Brown’s grandmother was blown away by the gesture, telling local station WFIE-TV, “I know Logan is up there looking down. He’s smiling. I think he will be happy.”

Nice work, Peyton, for shining a little light into the lives of a family that is undoubtedly still grieving over their loss. I’m sure that he gets an unbelievable amount of fan mail, but it’s nice to know he’s on the lookout for fans who could actually use a little inspiration and kind words from their favorite player.
