Runner Celebrates Early, Loses Peachtree 10k Race (Video)

American long-distance runner Ben Payne was having himself an incredible Fourth of July, as he found himself in the lead while making his way through the final 100 meters of the 2015 AJC Peachtree Men’s 10k race in Atlanta. As a result, he did what any happy, proud American would do in such a moment; he celebrated.

Only problem was the celebration came to early, allowing Great Britain’s Scott Overall to pass him just inches before they crossed the finish line, thus ruining America’s birthday:

It was awfully close, but after some careful deliberation, it was determined that Overall has crossed the finish line first.  And the 2015 AJC Peachtree 10k champ had the following words of advice to share following his victory:
