Donovan McNabb Arrested For DUI Following Accident, Issues Statement
For the second time since December 2013, Donovan McNabb has been arrested for DUI.
The arrest took place just before midnight on June 28 in Gilbert, Arizona. Reports indicate that the former NFL quarterback and current Fox and NBC Sports Radio analyst was involved in an accident at the intersection of E Chandler Heights Road and S Higley Road. It was there that McNabb apparently ran into the rear end of a vehicle that was stopped at a red light. No injuries were reported, but McNabb was found to be driving while impaired by alcohol. He was transferred to the Gilbert/Chandler Unified Holding Facility for processing and was later released.
Earlier today, during his weekday radio show with Mark Malone on NBC Sports Radio, McNabb issued the following statement:
“There was a story that was released, and I want everybody to be cognizant of it, because I am very aware of it, handling the matter at this particular point. But at this point, I have no further information, and as we continue on with the situation, then we’ll let it handle as it will handle itself.”
When this situation is finished “handling itself,” it could leave McNabb behind bars, seeing as how it’s his second arrest for impaired driving in less than two years.
