Bills Coach Aaron Kromer Arrested for Beating Up a Kid in Florida
I’m sure the Buffalo Bills are going to let the dust settle on this one before making any permanent decisions. However, I’d say there’s a pretty good chance offensive line coach Aaron Kromer is going to be unemployed soon. He was arrested early Sunday in Florida on a misdemeanor battery charge, and the alleged victim was a minor.
According to the official statement released by police in Walton County, Kromer and his son allegedly confronted three teen boys who were fishing on the beach about their use of beach chairs. Maybe sitting in chairs while fishing is considered a faux pas in Florida, or maybe the chairs belonged to Kromer. We don’t know. What we do know is that the confrontation supposedly turned violent, with Kromer pushing one boy to the ground, punching him in the face, and telling him he’d “kill his family” if he reported Kromer to the police.
Kromer was booked at the Walton County Jail just before 2am and released around 3am. The Bills issued a statement saying they are aware of the incident and are “gathering facts.”
Hopefull Kromer has a good lawyer. If I were him, I’d plead not guilty by reason of insanity. The guy was the Bears’ offensive coordinator last year. That would give anybody a little PTSD.
