Kanye Tosses Microphone After Malfunction at Pan Am Closing Ceremonies (Video)
Despite a petition to get him pulled from participating in the Toronto Pan Am games, Kanye West‘s performance at the close of the events still took place. However, things didn’t go exactly as planned, as they often fail to when it comes to Kanye appearances. The microphone he was using had a pretty low output, making it difficult to hear the rapper over the beats and instruments.
Not one to suffer in silence, Kanye took his microphone and threw it to the ground following his brief set. It all sounds about par for the course when it comes to the petulant performer, but it’s still fun to watch as the sound cuts out.
Here’s the video:

Ummm the sound skipped out and then Kanye actually threw the mic very far in the air and now he is gone and we’re not sure what to think.

I would be pissed, too, if I had traveled somewhere to perform and there was a prohibitive technical glitch. But it’s pretty clear that there were better ways to handle the frustration.
Not as inspirational as you probably would have expected from a music performance at the Pan Am Games, I’m sure.
