Tom Brady Emails: TB12 Throws Shade at Peyton Manning in Emails Entered as Evidence in Federal Court Case

tom brady deflategate press conference BALLS

The investigation into the role Tom Brady may or may not have played in deflating footballs for the AFC Championship Game has yielded all sorts of nonsense. However, the trove of Tom Brady emails entered into evidence in New York federal court, and thereby made public, takes the cake.

I’m not just talking about emails pertaining to football, or the Deflategate scandal itself. I’m also talking about Tom Brady’s private emails about mundane sh*t that we really shouldn’t care about…except we do because he’s Tom Brady, an incredibly wealthy man who is married to an incredibly wealthy supermodel, and these emails make him almost seem like a real person.

For example, did you that—just like you—Tom Brady gets awkward, poorly punctuated emails from his boss? Because he does. Check out this beauty from Pats owner Robert Kraft about some sort of payroll oversight:

We will have a chance to talk about the coming year after you talk to Bill and make sure we have a clear understanding

Much love

Hi there. I am sure you have been swamped. I am back in town now. Do you know if this invoice has been paid to tb12?thanks Robyn happy Sunday

And here’s an exchange between Tommy and some guy named Ben about choosing a new pool cover. Sure, it’s a $9,000 cover for what is probably a $100,000 pool. But I’m pretty sure any married dude can relate to the way this exchange ends:

RE: Winter Pool Cover

In the winter the water level is lowered so when it freezes the tile does not get damaged. The pool cover on there now rests on top of the water to support its weight and it cannot hold the weight of the snow/ice in the winter. The winter cover is designed to support the weight and also allows water to drain through it so there is no need for pumping water off. It takes 2-3 weeks to get the cover, so yes we can wait another month. I suggest a white cover to blend in with the snow or black.

I like the white cover also. Similar to the color we have now.

What kind of morons don’t have white cover. Can we check with another company

G decided on gray and order is in.

Translation: Sorry dude. Your wife’s the boss.

Of course, not everything that came up in the Tom Brady emails is relatable. Here’s an email exchange between Brady and a woman who works for Tom Ford in which the $100 million quarterback is basically looking to score some free designer threads:

Dear Tom,

Thank you for your email and I hope that you had a great weekend. Yes I have great new pieces I think you may love. There are new sweaters that have arrived in a few options and quite a few outerwear pieces you would like if you need. Do you think you will be around to stop by soon or do you want me to send you a few options? It’s up to you because I know that your schedule is busy. You let me know what would work best for you. The rugby polos are still not available but we have asked that they notify us if they become available. I am waiting for a reorder of the sneakers coming in the next week or so. I can definitely get them for you. Can you confirm the size:). Once they get received I will let you know via email. I have all of the new fall/winter suit fabrics in so if you would like I can send you the travel swatches to look over. Keep me posted. I look forward to hearing from you.

I hope you are having a great Fall season together with your family:)

All my best,

Tom Brady is famous for having great style, but he has great style because he’s famous. It’s a real paradox.

But okay, Tom Brady has to talk about football sometimes, right? Right! Let’s look at a few emails Brady sent and received after the Deflategate scandal broke. This one’s from Brady to a former Michigan teammate about Mark Brunnell’s take on the deflated balls:

He’s a patriot hater. They all are!!!

And here’s an exchange between Brady and a former USC kicker turned real estate developer that reminds us why we hate the Patriots:

We are the patriots everything is a big deal >

But of course, the best football-related Tom Brady emails are the ones about Peyton Manning. Here’s an exchange between Tommy and some guy he calls “Beav,” who basically just tells Brady how much better he is than Peyton:

And here’s the best Tom Brady email of them all—the one in which he throws serious shade at old man Manning:

Daaaamn, Tommy. That’s cold.
