Jordan Says “No Question” He’d Beat LeBron One-on-One in His Prime (Video)
You’re never going to believe this everybody, but apparently Michael Jordan thinks that, in his prime, he could have beaten LeBron James in a game of one-on-one.
In fact, his exact words were, “no question.”
The statement was made during the Q&A session at Jordan’s annual “Flight School” basketball camp in Santa Barbara, California, on Saturday. But of course I’m only kidding when I suggest you won’t believe he said something like this. The vast majority of basketball experts and fans around the world consider Jordan to be the greatest of all time, and Jordan doesn’t disagree. He compares himself favorably to other NBA greats all the time.
Hell, that statement about being able to beat LeBron in his prime wasn’t even the only confident thing Jordan said during that one Q&A session. He also said his three-peat Bulls “would’ve killed” Shaq‘s all-time Lakers, and that Phil Jackson was just “lucky” Jordan was taught the game by the legendary Dean Smith. (That’s right. Phil Jackson was lucky.)
Those weren’t the only issues Jordan addressed, though. He also told the kids:
- the biggest trash-talker he ever played against
- the player past or present he’d most like to have on his Charlotte Bobcats
- the current athlete he’d most like to have endorsing his Jordan brand
- why the hell he drafted Kwame Brown
Take a look:
Seriously, how great is this guy?
